EP 12: Reagan gomez

on 30 Years in Hollywood and Finding Her Flow Over 40

Head Honey Felicia Pride got to sit down with actress, writer, director, and all-around genre queen Reagan Gomez. From child star to seasoned creator, Reagan reflects on 30 years in Hollywood, growing up in front of the camera, and her transition into motherhood, creative freedom, and stories that feed her soul.

Known and beloved for her iconic roles in The Parenthood, Queen Sugar, and as the voice of Roberta Tubbs on The Cleveland Show, Reagan opens up about how she’s redefining her artistry—and herself—as a woman over 40. Now, she’s got horror scripts, travel dreams, and even better sex on her mind (yes, Honey!).

In this episode, Reagan gets real about:

  • Starting her career with The Parenthood at just 14—and co-writing an episode at 16!

  • Why genre storytelling is her love language (and her feminist gospel)

  • What it’s like to raise kids while sustaining a three-decade career

  • Staying grounded, staying creative, and staying married (since 18!)

  • How life, love, and art have evolved—and gotten juicier—with age

She’s not just surviving the biz, she’s thriving. And she wants other Black women to know it can be good… very good… over here.
